New Fixed Speed Deterrent In Place on Main Road, Wilby

Thanks to supplemental funding in the form of grants from Wellingborough Council and the Fire and Police Commissioner's Safer Communities Fund, Wilby Parish Council is pleased to confirm the village now has its new fixed speed sign in place alerting speeding vehicles as they enter the village on the A4500 from Earls Barton to SLOW DOWN.

Wilby Wins Safer Roads Community Fund Award

Wilby Wins Safer Roads Community Fund Award

Wilby Parish Council is pleased to announce it has been granted £1000 from the Northamptonshire Safer Roads Community Fund.

This money will be added to £500 already awarded by Wellingborough Borough Council and matched by the Parish Council from its reserves to purchase a new fixed speed sign for the village.

Opportunity to Join the OPFCC Independent Audit Committee

The OPFCC and the Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police are recruiting new members to join their Joint Independent Audit Committee. The Committee provides independent advice and assurance on the governance of the OPFCC, Northamptonshire Police and the Northamptonshire Commissioner Fire and Rescue Authority.

Litter Picking On Mears Ashby Road

On Saturday 30th March villagers from Mears Ashby are litter picking on Wilby Road. They have asked if anyone in Wilby would like to litter pick on Mears Ashby Road and meet them halfway.
