Following a number of sheep being illegally slaughtered and a recent theft of a large number of sheep, we believe those that are committing the crimes may be putting markers on the perimeter fences and gates of sites that they plan to target.

Wilby Wins Safer Roads Community Fund Award

Wilby Wins Safer Roads Community Fund Award

Wilby Parish Council is pleased to announce it has been granted £1000 from the Northamptonshire Safer Roads Community Fund.

This money will be added to £500 already awarded by Wellingborough Borough Council and matched by the Parish Council from its reserves to purchase a new fixed speed sign for the village.

Burglary at Business Premises in Wellingborough

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information regarding a burglary on Grafton Close, Wellingborough. Unknown persons have forced the front door of a business premises and taken items from within. This took place between 02:35 hours and 02:42 17/07/2019.

Drivers Targeted With Fake Fines

Action Fraud have received an increase in reports and intelligence where elderly victims are being targeted by individuals purporting to be police officers or traffic wardens. The victims are being approached whilst parked in a car park and are told by the suspect that they have parked illegally or broken a speed limit and a photo has been taken of their car for 'evidence'.
